ICE STORM 2007

We have had 2 waves so far of this ice storm. We have 1 more wave to go. Several of our friends are without power but fortunatly we still have ours.....so far. Our trampoline net is encased in ice. it is very strange to the touch....completely solid. The strangest thing though is our tree. It was TALL and BEAUTIFUL 2 days ago. Then the branches started getting lower...and lower....and LOWER! Now the branches are touching the ground. The kids LOVE it because they can get inside it. It makes a great clubhouse.

Thanks Sarah! It has been a crazy time. Our streets basically are clear of ice, but there are trees on them. So you will be driving along and have to take a detour because of a tree. And you see power lines lying around. CRAZY! We have been keeping ourselves entertained though. We spent ONE day watching Rocky, Rocky II, Rocky III, Rocky IV and ROCKY V !!!
Yes, we watched it in ONE day! And we have been sleeping in until 11 or 12. Going back to school schedule is going to be hard on everyone.

That is insane. Hope you all don't get to much this time around. So far we are just having major rain and I have a feeling that it is not going to be stoping anytime soon. Be safe and I will be talking with you all later.
    Love ya

Just rain, thank goodness. We have some friends whose power just got turned on at 10 am this morning....Jan 21!! They were without power over a week! They spent a lot of time with family. And EVERYONE seems to have lost their trees. It's going to look bare around here. Did you guys ever end up with any snow this time?
